Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts artist competing for UFC. UFC within the Flyweight Division, is at present participating. Shevchenko's older sister is of former UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She first made an appearance in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament, beating Suzane Mill in the finals via a majority choice. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, winning gold in 2011 she was named the 2015 IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via second-round TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass a record of three-three. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing and was able to make her return to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior punching techniques and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina was awarded a UFC deal. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision following her first fight. Antonina recovered from this loss with a win over Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the fight-ofthe-night prize. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, winning against Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Then, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
